ABOUT 150 people were in attendance at an annual breakfast in Cockenzie, raising £5,000 for charity.
The Walk With Scott Foundation’s Big Boys Breakfast took place at Cockenzie Royal British Legion.
The crowd was treated to a trio of speakers – John Gahagan, Raymond Mearns and Bill Copeland – before enjoying a traditional Scottish breakfast and a few drinks!
Colin McGinn, vice-chairperson of Walk with Scott Foundation – which was founded by Tranent after-dinner speaker, the late Scott Glynn – said: “The WWSF Big Boys Breakfast was a great success and testament to the support the foundation has throughout East Lothian.
“The absolutely wonderful event was a tribute to Scott’s profession and the esteem in which he is held.
“We were treated to a superb traditional breakfast donated by McKirdy Brothers Butchers and Peter Ford Premium Bakery.”
The celebration marked the fourth annual breakfast, which has now become a key part of the WWSF yearly events programme.
Colin added: “Blair Stewart was at the heart of organising this day and his efforts cannot be understated.”
The money raised will be shared among East Lothian charities.
