A MUSSELBURGH resident has admitted striking a woman on the body with a pole.
David Moffat struck Jennifer Findlay with the implement at Macbeth Moir Road on October 10, 2019.
The 32-year-old offender also acted aggressively towards Saffron Dickson and shouted and swore during the same incident.
Moffat also brandished the pole and uttered threats of violence and placed the women in a state of fear and alarm.
He pleaded guilty to two offences at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Wednesday.
Sheriff Peter McCormack deferred sentence on Moffat to next month for social work reports to be prepared.
