A TRIO of foraging adventures is being promised by an award-winning restaurant.

The Bonnie Badger launches the first event later this month, with guests able to explore the East Lothian coastline and the array of wild herbs, plants, flora and fungi the area boasts.

The Forage & Feast seasonal series of workshops begins with a spring event next Friday (April 22), in collaboration with Wee Folk of the Woods.

Led by the foraging duo and one of The Bonnie Badger’s chefs, guests will hear from the experts on when, where and how to forage for edible and medicinal plants, as well as learning about ways to use the ingredients in cooking.

The guided walking tour is open to all ages.

Following a morning spent foraging, guests will return to the Gullane restaurant to enjoy an exclusive three-course lunch, inclusive of a welcome cocktail, all inspired by the ingredients explored on the excursion.

Workshops, which are also planned for June 17 and September 2, last from 10am to 3pm.

Bookings are £85 per person, including a welcome tea or coffee and a breakfast roll, a morning of guided foraging, followed by a welcome drink and an exclusive three-course lunch that celebrates the local larder.
