A THIEF who stole alcohol from an Edinburgh store has been admonished.

Gemma Thomson, of Wemyss House, Port Seton, took the quantity of alcohol from the Marks & Spencer store on Princes Street.

Thomson committed the offence on April 30 last year. Thomson, 39, failed to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court for sentencing last Tuesday after previously admitting the charge.

Sheriff Nigel Ross decided to admonish Thomson.
