Ormiston Gala is set to return after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The return comes after the successful #saveormigala campaign earlier this year.
A new committee has now been installed and the group has confirmed that the gala day will go ahead on June 25.
With many of the principal roles now filled, there is still a requirement for volunteers to help in the lead-up to the day and on the day itself.
The committee is looking for parade stewards, events co-ordinators, volunteers to decorate the float, as well as general volunteers.
Businesses can get involved through sponsorship, including placing adverts in the programme, sponsoring an event or even the entire week.
Raffle prizes can also be handed in to any of the committee members.
Anyone wanting to be involved can contact the group on Facebook or by emailing Ormistongala@gmail.com
The new committee is: chairperson – Jordan Diggins; vice-chair – Larissa McNulty; treasurer – Jodi Kerr; royal court co-ordinator – Alana Purves; events co-ordinator – Sian Voy; social media/communications – Amanda O’Neill; fundraising co-ordinator – Janette Hazzard; vice fundraising – Jay McNeill; head steward – Elaine Brown; health and safety officers – Larissa McNulty and Jodi Kerr.
