A PRESTON Lodge High School pupil who was diagnosed with cancer last year will be handing out Easter eggs to youngsters in hospital, after his successful stint at Christmas playing Santa and delivering hundreds of gifts to children.
Aidan Hogg, 16, of Arrow Crescent, Musselburgh, was delivered a devastating acute myeloid leukaemia diagnosis nearly a year ago – he was mainly bed bound at Edinburgh’s Royal Hospital for Children and Young People (RHCYP) for about six months, before he returned home for good at Christmas.
Aidan, with the support of his mum Emma, created Aidan’s Magical Gifts in the autumn to support and provide presents to children being treated at the hospital.
In December, the Hogg family delivered more than 200 presents to sick children.
The teenager’s classmates at Preston Lodge High School also helped with the project by raising £1,000 to donate to the cause.
With Easter fast approaching, Aidan aims to collect and deliver 140 chocolate eggs to the hospital, ensuring that every child receives a sweet treat.
His high school will act as a collection point and eggs of any size can be dropped off at the school office.
