PRESTONPANS could welcome a new artisan stone-fired pizza takeaway if plans are given the go-ahead.
A planning application for advertising consent for the potential pizza place at Unit C, Northfields Retail Centre on Mid Road in Prestonpans, has been registered with East Lothian Council.
The application for signage at the front of the business would read 'Stone Fired'.
Part of the planning application, submitted by Yum Enterprise Ltd, reads: "In line with the signage seen in the surrounding area, the signage at Stone Fired will consist of built-up letters sitting on a blue sign tray.
"In order to be seen from the road at night, the sign will have a gentle halo illumination."
A decision on the planning application is expected by early March.
