AN ISSUE with East Lothian Council’s planning system means people will be given extra time to comment on the latest applications.
A glitch meant members of the public could not access the council’s planning portal throughout last week.
The site allows people to view any planning application and lodge an objection or give the proposals their support.
A spokeswoman for the council confirmed the site was now up and running again.
She said: “The planning portal was unavailable due to an issue reported by our supplier; however, the service has now been restored.
“For applications for planning permission that have had their 21 days notification period affected by the portal being down, we will give an additional five days to comment.”
