A NEW gym could be created in Tranent town centre.

Proposals with East Lothian Council’s planning department show 115B High Street would be transformed from an office into a gym.

Work would see the gable wall of the building, to the rear of Giancarlo’s Italian Restaurant and Well Pharmacy, demolished and rebuilt.

A decision on the proposals, from Dean Johnstone, is expected in the New Year
