A TRIO of North Berwick residents knitted day and night to create 20 hats to keep members of a day centre warm this winter.
Vicky Oleksy, from Bass Rock Community Group, went to work with her needles after North Berwick Day Centre sent out a call for donations to protect their members from the cold this Christmas.
Fellow Bass Rock Community Group members Valerie McAdam and Bex MacRobert also played a hand in the creation by making 20 pom-poms for the top of the hats.
More than 50 handmade gift boxes were also handed over for the day centre to fill with goodies for their members this Christmas.
Carol Wicker, North Berwick Day Centre manager, said: “We are thankful for these fabulous gifts for members of the day centre.
“They are very much appreciated!”
