A NORTH Berwick resident has been fined after he breached a non-harassment order.
Graham Watt, of Melbourne Place, was issued with the court order on February 15 banning him from approaching or contacting a woman.
But the 53-year-old broke the strict rules of the order when he was said to have approached the woman at a restaurant in the town on July 21 this year.
Then incident was reported to the police and Watt was arrested and charged.
He pleaded guilty to the offence at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on August 23 and sentence had been deferred for him to be of good behaviour.
Watt was back in the dock last Tuesday, where Sheriff John Cook was told he had not committed any further offences in the meantime.
The sheriff closed the matter by ordering Watt to pay a total fine of £420.
