BUSINESSES throughout Haddington are being encouraged to get in the festive spirit.
Haddington Business Community Partnership (HBCP) is hosting a ‘Light up your window for Christmas’ competition.
Festive decorations and Christmas lights will adorn shop windows by November 27 – the day before the town’s Christmas lights switch-on.
Judging will take place on November 27 after 10am to decide a winner.
Karla Green, chairperson of HBCP, wished everyone well and said: “Last year’s competition was highly competitive, with some wonderful displays, and the judge found it extremely difficult to pick a winner.
“This year there will be the HBCP challenge trophy, a second and a third rosette, and an outstanding achievement trophy.”
The window competition comes on the heels of ‘Haddowe’en’, which was sponsored by Haddington Rotary.
Kodak Express, on the town’s Market Street, took top prize, with MADE in East Lothian and Animal Magic coming second and third respectively.
