The Rotary Club of North Berwick has raised and donated more than £2,000 for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS).

Part of the proceeds came from a recently sponsored golf competition at Kilspindie Golf Club.

The club annually raises funds for charities throughout the country, while also encouraging local sports clubs to fundraise for CHAS by presenting trophies for their yearly competitions.

A spokesperson for the Rotary club said: “The golf sponsors, competitors and local sports club have been fantastic in their support for CHAS and we hope that in these challenging times they can see their way in continuing to help out in the future.”

Fiona Leslie, CHAS senior community fundraiser, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have support from the Rotary Club of North Berwick.

“We’d like to say a massive thanks to the club, and the community, for support going back to 1997 and before.

“The funds go towards our mission to reach every baby, child and young person and the families who need us.

“The gift of £2,000 means so much given the situation over the last many months.”
