PRESTON Lodge High School pupils and staff were delighted to host their first face-to-face school event in over 18 months.

The high school recognised the academic achievements of its students at a live in-person school event in the assembly hall last Thursday.

The prizegiving was strictly staff and students, with parents, families and friends unable to attend.

Face masks were worn indoors during the ceremony.

The Peter Ford Award was shared between a number of students – Callum Aitken, Emily Bain, Billy Bingham, Cameron Carlin, Emmy Dalgity, Carly Davidson, Megan Davie, Megan Duncan, Gavin Fisher, Josh Laid- law, Keir Laidlaw, Kimberley McArthur, Naomi McGregor, Felix Menzies, Iris Scott, Dan- iel Stewart, Nathan Stewart, Aiden Turner and Grace Warnock – for their commitment to the food provision and sports activities organised by The Pennypit Community Cen- tre in lockdown.

Special awards were presented to the following students: David Edginton Memorial Prize, Joanne Welch; Rotary Prize, John Dunbar; The Fraser Kiernan Memorial Award, Jaime Snudden; Scott Glynn Award, Iris Scott and Aidan Turner; Respect Prize, Adon Davie; Preston Lodge Learning Foundation Award, Imogen Woods, Charlie Woods, Georgia Murray, Elena Murray and Isla Dow; Gill Pert Skills for Work Award, Lauren Peattie; Wider Achievement Award, Jamie Donnan and Sophie Marshall; Learning Leadership Award, Rhianna Kelly, Amy Watson and Niamh Hutchison; House Trophy Presentation, Grange House; Dux of the School, Lewis Miller.
