A MUSSELBURGH benefits cheat who claimed child tax credits she was not entitled to will be sentenced later this year.
Laura Reid wrongly claimed working tax credits and child tax credits by failing to inform the Department for Work and Pensions she was living with her partner Joshua Allison.
The 33-yearold claimed the money despite Mr Allison living with her permanently and him being in full-time employment between the dates of April 6, 2015, and April 5, 2017.
Reid, of Moir Avenue, admitted the offence when she appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Wednesday.
Sheriff Roderick Flinn deferred sentence to next month for the preparation of social work reports
