A MUSSELBURGH motorist has admitted driving a vehicle while disqualified and with no insurance.
Thomas Slater, 27, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Friday, where he pleaded guilty to the two offences.
Sheriff Peter McCormack was told that Slater, of Delta Drive, was pulled over by police officers while he drove between Eskbank Road and Sherwood Crescent in Bonnyrigg earlier this year.
Slater was subsequently found to be serving a previously imposed driving ban and as a consequence had no valid insurance for the vehicle.
The sheriff deferred sentence to November 2 for reports and a restriction of liberty assessment to be prepared.
Slater admitted driving while disqualified and with no insurance in Bonnyrigg on February 27.
