POWER tools and heavy plates worth about £5,000 have been stolen from a building site on the outskirts of Aberlady.

A large container was broken into to the west of the village between 5pm on September 10 and 8am on September 13.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "A number of items including power tools and heavy plates to the value of around £5,000 were stolen.

"This would have required a number of persons and a vehicle to remove the items.

"Police are appealing for witnesses to call 101 quoting incident number 0643 of September 13.

"The pictures below match the items stolen.

"If you have seen or been offered these items please get in touch."
