GROUPS in the Tranent area do not have long to submit applications for funding from a sub-group of the local area partnership.

Fa’side Area Partnership’s scrutiny and monitoring sub-group has announced its meeting dates until the end of March next year.

The sub-group is responsible for considering applications to the area partnership, which has a general fund which totals £50,000 per year.

The cut-off point for funding applications is Sunday (August 22), with the sub-group’s first meeting since lockdown taking place on September 2. At the meeting, members will consider any new applications.

Bill Axon, Fa’side Area Partnership chairman, said: “This is the sub-group’s first meeting since the national lockdown and we are looking to receiving application from local groups seeking to tackle the impacts of Covid, poverty or inequality within the communities of Fa’side.

“Any applications must connect to priorities contained within our area plan, which has just been reviewed.”

Groups seeking to apply to the area partnership can email faside-ap@east lothian.gov.uk to have an informal discussion about the process.

The sub-group’s following meeting is on November 4, with the cut-off point for applications to be considered at that meeting coming on September 19.

The following meeting takes place on January 27, with the cut-off point for applications being November 21.
