POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a break-in at Cockenzie Primary School yesterday evening (Wednesday).
Officers from Prestonpans Community Policing Team are investigating a break-in that occurred at the school overnight on July 28 between 5.45pm and 6.55am.
The team are also investigating ongoing issues relating to anti-social behaviour being caused by youths.
Police are seeking information and CCTV footage from residents to identify images of the culprits.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 7am on Thursday, July 29, to a report of a break-in at a school on Osborne Terrace, Cockenzie.
"The incident happened overnight and enquiries are ongoing to find those responsible.
"Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident 0616 of Thursday, July 29."
