THE places East Lothian residents can get tested for Covid-19 this week have been announced, with several locations every day.

As well as mobile units, the facility in Musselburgh in the former Stoneyhill Community Centre remains open.

It is open for East Lothian residents 11am-6pm Tuesdays-Saturdays and can be found on Stoneyhill Farm Road.

People do not need to book an appointment and can get tested more than once.

Those with no symptoms are encouraged to go along.

Residents can also pick up a test kit to take home from the Musselburgh facility, as well as from several local pharmacies. They can also be ordered online via the Scottish Government, they will be delivered to your home.

Mobile units are visiting various parts of the county this week, people do not need to live in the community being visited on a particular day to get tested there.

The opening times are 10am-6pm unless stated otherwise.

Walk in appointments are available, however while appointments are not needed they are preferable to save time.

Bookings can be made from 6pm the day prior online at www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test or by calling 0300 303 2713.

When asked why a test is being booked, select ‘my local council or health protection team has asked me to get a test, even though I do not have symptoms’.

Scottish Water is carrying out essential works on Court Street in Haddington from today (Monday) until August 6. The road entrance and exit to john Muir House via Brewery Park will be temporarily closed from Thursday.
