A MUSSELBURGH resident struck a man to the head and body during a violent attack on the town’s Bridge Street.
Andrew Stewart, of Watts Close, uttered threats of violence towards victim David Noble before pushing the man, causing him to fall to the ground.
He then repeatedly kicked Mr Noble on the body and struck him to the head during the violent incident in March last year.
The 47-year-old attacker was due to stand trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court after initial pleas of not guilty but changed his plea to a guilty one prior to the trial starting.
Sentence was deferred to July 21.
Stewart pleaded guilty to assaulting David Noble at Bridge Street, Musselburgh, on March 19 last year.
