A SEARCH has been launched to find the oldest veteran in Dunbar.
Royal British Legion Scotland, Dunbar, is holding an event next Saturday (May 15) to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Royal British Legion.
The group, based off the town’s High Street, is looking to find the oldest armed or auxiliary forces veteran in the area for the event.
Duncan Laing, branch chairman, said: “We would like to invite our oldest local veteran as a guest of honour.
“Not all veterans are member of the Legion and so we are asking the good people of Dunbar and district to help us find that person.
“This could be a family member or a friend from days in uniform.
“Nominations can be made by emailing contact@rbldunbar.co.uk providing their date of birth and which service they were in.”
