AN EAST Lothian beach has been named one of the most popular to visit this summer in the UK – and is one of only three in Scotland on the list.
Seacliff Beach, to the east of North Berwick, appeared 17th on the list.
Loch Morlich in the Highlands came 14th and Luskentyre Beach on the Isle of Harris was 26th.
The list by Kind Water ranks beaches in order of the number of posts on Instagram that use a hashtag with its name in, with Seacliff’s being #seacliffbeach
To find out which beaches in the UK were the most shared on Instagram, those at Kind Water collated a list of the 30 most popular beaches and looked through Instagram for the number of images that had been posted on the app alongside the hashtags most closely associated with each beach.
Each beach was then ranked in order.
The beach at the number one spot was Brighton Beach with 764,562 posts.
