A HADDINGTON teenage motorist was caught over the drink-drive limit twice in as many days last month.
Hayden McDonald, 19, was pulled over by police at Stenhouse Drive in Edinburgh and found to have 47mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath on March 20 – more than double the legal limit of 22mg.
McDonald was then caught behind the wheel of a vehicle with 65mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath the following day at Florabank Road in Haddington – nearly three times the limit.
The teenager, of New Horizons, Florabank Road, pleaded guilty to both offences during an appearance in the dock at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Monday.
Sheriff Adrian Cottam handed out an interim driving ban and deferred sentence to later this month for the preparation of background reports.
