A CASH machine housed in a former red telephone box in North Berwick has been vandalised.
At about 10.55pm on October 29, police were alerted that two men were striking the cash machine with what looked like a baseball bat.
The men had gone before police arrived, leaving a fence post embedded in the machine.
CCTV was viewed and a description passed to local police officers.
The following evening, PC Paterson, a community police officer, saw two men who matched the description given of the men who damaged the cash machine.
The pair were arrested and both later charged with the offence.
