BOTTLES and cans of alcohol have been seized from youngsters in Dunbar.
A rise in anti-social behaviour has been reported in the town in recent weeks, with community officers carrying out patrols over the weekend.
A police spokesman said: “Alcohol was seized from various groups, one youth was charged and 13 others will be getting letters sent home. This contributed to reduced complaints and we will continue this approach going forward.”
Much of the anti-social behaviour has centred on Lochend Woods.
Constable Gavin Ross, Dunbar and East Linton community officer, told the Courier “at least one youth” had been taken to hospital due to drinking too much.
