LAW Primary School in North Berwick has confirmed its first case of coronavirus.
It is the eighth primary school in the county to record a positive test, joining Preston Tower, Haddington, Wallyford, Pencaitland, Stoneyhill, Burgh and Gullane Primary Schools.
The news was shared to parents and carers this afternoon (Tuesday) in a letter from NHS Lothian.
It is a single case that was not at school whilst they were infectious said NHS Lothian following a risk assessment by its health protection team.
Those who have been in direct contact with the confirmed case have been contacted and will be staying at home for the next two weeks.
The school remains open.
Those who have not been contacted should continue to attend school if they remain well.
It now means that both schools in North Berwick have recorded positive Covid-19 tests, North Berwick High School recorded two cases in mid-October.
Law Primary is the third school to confirm a positive case in the past few days, with Preston Lodge High and Stoneyhill Primary Schools confirming they have each recorded a case.
