TWO schools in East Lothian have recorded positive tests for coronavirus, one for the first time.

At the weekend, Stoneyhill Primary School in Musselburgh shared news to parents and carers of its first positive case since the pandemic began.

Several people have been contacted as they have been in close and sustained contact with the case, the tracking process is now complete.

Those who have been contacted are now self isolating and appropriate guidance and advice has been given.

Those who have not been contacted directly and told their child is a close contact should continue to attend school as normal.

Enhanced cleaning and infection control measures are in place in line with national guidance.

The school is safe and remains open.
