HUNDREDS of potatoes have forced the closure of a section of the A1 after a spillage near West Barns.
The eastbound section of the busy road is currently closed after the spuds were spilled across the carriageway earlier this morning (Wednesday) when a tractor overturned at about 7.45am.
A clean-up operation is currently under way, with traffic heading east being diverted off the carriageway at Abbotsview junction and along the A199.
