ORMISTON’S Co-op store has been temporarily closed for a "deep clean" in the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak.
The Co-op declined to comment on claims in the village that a member of store staff had allegedly tested positive for the virus.
A spokesperson for Co-op said: “The safety of colleagues and customers is our number one priority. We have strict policies and protective equipment in place to protect them and all advice and guidance is observed.
"Colleagues routinely self-isolate if they experience symptom, and, as a precaution, our Ormiston store has closed temporarily to undertake a deep clean.”
