THREE divers were left clinging to a lobster pot marker after getting into difficulty on Sunday.
A coastguard team from Dunbar travelled south to Eyemouth, where they assisted colleagues from the town’s coastguard team and Berwick.
Both Eyemouth RNLI lifeboats were also launched at about 2.15pm to the Greenends Gully, to the east of the Borders town.
A spokesman for Eyemouth RNLI said: “Arriving immediately on scene, the inshore lifeboat crew rescued two divers from the sea and transferred them to the all-weather lifeboat, with one diver receiving casualty care.
“The remaining diver was rescued by the inshore lifeboat and all three were taken back to Eyemouth, where one diver was transferred into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“The three divers had been clinging to a lobster pot marker after getting into difficulty in the water and were unable to make their way back to shore.”
