A NEW date has been confirmed for the eighth Walk With Scott.
The popular annual fundraiser was set up by Tranent after-dinner speaker Scott Glynn to mark his 50th birthday.
Scott passed away on New Year’s Day this year and it had been hoped to host the Walk With Scott on May 2.
However, the event was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, with the organisers announcing it will now take place on the first weekend of May next year.
On Twitter, they said: “We are now delighted to announce that our postponed Infinity Walk will now take place over the first weekend in May 2021.
“Further info will follow soon but we wanted to let everyone get the date in the diary and start getting ready for it.”
Since its inception, the walk has raised more than £300,000 for local charities and good causes.
Last year’s event saw more than 140 people complete a 26.2-mile route through East Lothian to raise money for the Walk With Scott Foundation.
