A WOMAN spotted walking on the A1 yesterday evening (Monday) by a concerned member of the public has led to police issuing an appeal for information.
At 11pm the member of the public contacted police regarding the sighting.
They saw the woman walking at the side of the road, dressed in inappropriate clothing for the weather conditions and time of evening.
She was last seen walking westbound between the roadway and treeline on the A1 near Dunbar Cement Plant.
She is described as being aged between 25 and 35, slim build with dark bobbed hair.
Anyone with information regarding the woman or who may have seen her walking in the area is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 4199 of August 10.
