A MUSIC video has been launched by a band of Old Lorettonians from Musselburgh, with help from their fans, in aid of the NHS.

Chameleon Lady’s lead vocalist Cameron Middlemass, 20, and his brother Tom, 25, who plays guitar and drums, were keen to put something back into the health service after their dad Gary received emergency treatment for coronavirus at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

Mr Middlemass’s fiancée Monika Mikolajczak also contracted the virus.

The couple, who used to live in Musselburgh but now stay in Edinburgh, have both made full recoveries.

The rest of the band – Robbie Hutchison, 21, and his sister Caitlin, 25, who are also former Loretto School pupils, Kenny Hutchison, 56, their dad, who taught music at Loretto for 20 years, and Michael Fizpatrick, 24, Kenny’s nephew – were also keen to support the NHS.

They have been asking fans to donate and take part in the new music video of their popular single Home (The Highlands); singing and dancing alongside the hashtag #HomefromHome to raise money for the NHS and thank NHS staff.

The video is now out on YouTube and Facebook, after around 100 videos were received from fans eager to feature in the production.

The band will also donate all profits from any downloads and streams.

Performing their own brand of folk, rock and pop, Robbie is also on guitar/drums, Caitlin plays the violin, Kenny is on keys/accordion, and Michael bass guitar.

Cameron said: “The people involved in the video are from all over the UK and further afield. We couldn’t be prouder of the result and the response we have received so far, with so many kind words and comments.”
