EDDIE McFadzean, pipe major of North Berwick Pipe Band, played ‘When The Battle’s O’er’ at the town’s war memorial (pictured) at 3pm on May 8 to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day.
The tune is traditionally played at the end of a battle.
Other members of North Berwick Pipe Band played the same music at their front doors at the same time, while one played at the Dirleton war memorial.
North Berwick Pipe Band members’ lessons have been continuing online during lockdown, while several pipers have been playing daily at 1pm at home as part of a lockdown challenge.
On Thursday evenings, several pipers and drummers have been playing regularly outside their houses at 8pm during the weekly Clap for Carers’ tribute.
