A KIND-HEARTED Whitecraig family donated a large number of toys to the local community after spring cleaning their attic during the Covid-19 crisis.
Lynda and Craig Glen, along with their five-year-old son Finlay and daughter Willow, aged four, decided to put the collection outside their Deantown Avenue home for families to take free-of-charge as they passed during their permitted daily exercise.
Lynda said they hoped that the toys might alleviate children’s boredom during the lockdown.
She added: “We also cleared out the children’s rooms and hoped the toys would keep other children amused during the lockdown.”
The gifts were put out at teatime on a Saturday, with more added on the next morning, and they proved so popular that, by the Monday morning, they had all been snapped up.
