EAST Lothian's railway line was closed between North Berwick and Drem earlier this afternoon while a safety inspection takes place.
Train services between Edinburgh and North Berwick terminated at and started back from Drem during the inspection, with North Berwick unable to be served by trains while it was taking place.
NEW: @networkrailscot staff are conducting a safety inspection of the track between Drem and North Berwick, which means the line is currently closed.

ScotRail said that disruption would last until 5pm.
ScotRail has now said that the inspection has ended and services are returning to normal.
