TWO people have been arrested after a stolen motorbike was found in the back of a van.
The incident took place on Sunday (January 26) in Dunbar when officers from the Midlothian Community Action Team (MCAT) stopped and checked a van.
It was found out the male driver was disqualified from driving.
A stolen motorbike was then found in the back of the van.
The man and his female passenger were arrested and charged with several driving offences.
While dealing with this incident the officers helped a local man who had lost his dog.
After a search of the area, the lost Jack Russell, called Digger, was found and returned.
In an unrelated incident on the same day, police in North Berwick stopped to check a vehicle with the driver also found to be disqualified from driving.
The man was charged with a number of road traffic offences and his vehicle was seized.
A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
