TWO people have appeared in court charged with housebreaking and fireraising.
Ryan Gillies, 22, and a 16-year-old girl appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Friday.
Both are charged with two counts of theft by housebreaking, one count of culpable and reckless fireraising, as well as two counts of being in possession of an object with a blade or point in a public place, and one count of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.
Neither made a plea when they appeared at court.
Gillies was remanded in custody, while the 16-year-old was released on bail.
Their appearance follows two alleged housebreakings in Gullane and an alleged fireraising at a business at Fenton Barns during the evening of December 23 into the early hours of Christmas Eve.
