SWIMMERS had to leave Dunbar’s swimming pool after an “incident of a faecal nature” over the weekend.
The pool at Dunbar Leisure Pool was closed for two hours on Sunday afternoon.
A spokeswoman for enjoyleisure, which manages the facility, told the Courier: “Regrettably we had to close the pool at Dunbar Leisure Pool on Sunday afternoon at short notice.
“This was following an unfortunate customer incident of a faecal nature.
“In line with our protocols and health and safety requirements, the pool was closed in order to complete a full treatment cycle.
“The pool was closed at noon and re-opened once again at 2pm.
“We fully appreciate the frustration and disappointment the closure caused to customers; however, we know that patrons will understand and accept this approach is necessary in such circumstances.”
