THE headteacher position at Windygoul Primary School in Tranent has been given to current acting headteacher Dianne MacKenzie.
Ms MacKenzie was depute head at the school from August 2011 before taking the quality improvement officer role in April 2018. She came back to Windygoul as acting headteacher last month.
A spokesperson from East Lothian Council said: “Following a recruitment campaign for the permanent post of headteacher of Windygoul Primary School, Ms Dianne MacKenzie, current acting headteacher, has been offered and has accepted the post.
"Ms MacKenzie’s appointment will be confirmed following completion of the standard pre-employment checks. A start date will be confirmed in due course.”
