A SPATE of vehicle break-ins has occurred in Prestonpans, with 13 reported over the course of just six days.
Police are investigating the incidents, which took place between Sunday, June 16, and Friday, June 21, in various residential streets located near to the Mid Road area.
Derek MacDonald, Community Policing Sergeant, said: “We would encourage vehicle owners to ensure that their vehicles are left secure when unattended and ensure that all valuables are removed from your vehicle.
“If you require advice on how to keep your vehicle safe, visit the Police Scotland website or contact your local community Policing Team on 101 for advice.
“We would also encourage anyone who has information about these offences to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0498 of June 17.”
