A SHOP in Tranent has been broken into, with money stolen.
Police went to Sweet Haven on Winton Place at about 1am this morning (Wednesday) after a report from the owner.
Entry had been forced to the premises and a two-figure sum of cash stolen from within.
PC John Lumsden, of the Musselburgh Community Investigation Unit, said: “Officers from our Community Investigation Unit are carrying out enquiries into this incident.
“We believe that the individuals have left the area in a blue Audi S3.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have information regarding this indecent to make contact with Police Scotland by calling 101 and quoting reference number 133 of June 19, or report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
