A CRASH involving a car and an oil tanker saw a portion of the A1 closed this afternoon.
The collision took place on the eastbound (southbound) carriageway just before Thistly Cross Roundabout, near Dunbar.
Initially only the inside lane was shut before both lanes eastbound were closed soon after 2pm.
The road has now been re-opened.

Police attended at the crash and say that there was some spillage from the tanker.
The driver of the car was checked over at the scene and taken to hospital with what police described as "minor injuries".
