A LARGE police presence was witnessed in North Berwick this lunch-time.
A resident told the Courier that "something big" was happening in Lochbridge Road and Gilbert Avenue at about 12.30pm, with "men in white suits, police vans and an ambulance" spotted.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Thursday, police in East Lothian executed two search warrants at addresses in Lochbridge Road and Gilbert Avenue as part of an ongoing drugs investigation.
"Quantities of heroin have been recovered and a 43-year-old man has been arrested.
“Inquiries at both properties are continuing.”
