ARMED police were out in Musselburgh yesterday and this morning during an operation to fight organised crime.
Police attended at a home on the town's Pinkie Drive, while a related police operation also took place at Poltonhall Industrial Estate in Midlothian.
Police were at both scenes throughout the night.
A man has been arrested in connection to organised crime.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police Scotland executed search warrants at a home in Pinkie Drive, Musselburgh, and at the Poltonhall Industrial Estate in Midlothian on Tuesday as part of an ongoing organised crime investigation.
"Local officers were supported by specialist resources and one man has been arrested.
"Inquiries at both addresses are continuing."
