A HADDINGTON man has been placed on a community payback order after admitting possessing an offensive weapon.
James Potter, of Kirk View, was caught with a pair of scissors while on the town’s Monkmains Road earlier this year.
Potter, 31, pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared in the dock at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Thursday.
Sheriff John Cook decided to mark the offence by ordering Potter to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work in the community.
Potter admitted possessing a pair of scissors at Monkmains Road, Haddington, on March 16.
