A FIFTY-EIGHT-YEAR-OLD woman has been arrested and charged with fraud.
The woman, who worked at Drummohr Care Home in Wallyford, is alleged to have defrauded a four-figure sum and was arrested last Wednesday.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland told the Courier: "A 58-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a fraud in Wallyford in January 2019, which was reported to police the following month.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the care home said: “The health and wellbeing of our residents is always our number one priority.
“As soon as these allegations were brought to our attention, we followed all internal procedures, suspended the staff member in question, and are working closely with all appropriate authorities."
