THE reigning Grand Slam of Darts champion popped into a Tranent pub as a rugby club from his home town visited East Lothian.
A link between Ross High RFC and Markham RFC dates back more than 40 years, with the Welsh side making the trip to East Lothian last weekend to coincide with the Scotland v Wales Six Nations match at Murrayfield.
Gerwyn Price, who previously played rugby before giving up the sport to concentrate on playing darts full-time, was also north of the Border.
Following his 7-3 win over Mensur Suljovic at the Unibet Premier League in Aberdeen, Price visited The Tower Inn, on Tranent’s Church Street.
John Reynolds owns the pub along with his wife, Tracy, who was brought up next to the professional darts player’s dad Colin.
