A TRANENT woman made a menacing phone call to a woman before going on to vandalise a vehicle the following week.
Melinda Mason, 31, made the phone call to Jodie Mason in September last year where she made grossly indecent or obscene comments.
Melinda Mason also damaged a Hyundai vehicle by hitting it with a hammer.
Following the vandalism, police were called in to deal with Mason, of Muirpark Wynd, and she was subsequently arrested and charged.
She had previously admitted the two charges against her and she appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Wednesday for sentencing. But Sheriff Peter McCormack heard that a background report was still to be prepared and he deferred sentence again to March 20.
Melinda Mason pleaded guilty to making a phone call to Jodie Mason that was grossly offensive or indecent in character by verbally abusing her and threatening her with violence on September 29 last year. She also admitted maliciously damaging a vehicle by striking it with a hammer at Prestonfield Terrace, Edinburgh, on October 6 last year.
